2022 NIUE 5 OZ SILVER ROARING LION HEAD HIGH RELIEF COIN
Description
The reverse depicts the Lion of Judah. The Lion of Judah is mentioned throughout the Torah, with the first mention coming in the Book of Genesis when it was given to Judah by his father Jacob.
The Torah notes that the lion became the symbol of the Israelite tribe of Judah, a tribe that consists of the descendants of Judah. Judah was the fourth son of Jacob.
The lion is depicted front-facing with a crown on its head. The rim of the crown on its head has a micro inscription that says: “All your words are true” (as stated in Psalm 119:160), along with the Hebrew letters of Aleph and Tav inscribed on the face of the crown.
The obverse of the coin shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as created by Ian Rank-Braodley.
